Biscoats began with my mum. As she started eating less, I wanted to make her something small, savoury and full of flavour, so I began baking a high-fibre, cheesy oat snack just for her to nibble on.

Years later, Biscoats brought me back together with Clare Mackie, daughter of Mum’s best friend, Irene. I make them and bake them. Clare brings their character to life through her illustrations. 

Sadly, Irene is no longer with us, but she’d be delighted that something made for Mum has brought our families together again.
